HVAC Duct Cleaning

You should consider having the air ducts in your home cleaned if:

  • There is substantial visible mold growth inside hard surface (e.g., sheet metal) ducts or on other components of your heating and cooling system.
  • Ducts are infested with vermin, e.g. (rodents or insects); or
  • Ducts are clogged with excessive amounts of dust and debris and/or particles are actually released into the home from your supply registers.

If any of the conditions identified above exists, it usually suggests one or more underlying causes. Prior to any cleaning, retrofitting, or replacing of your ducts, the cause or causes must be corrected or else the problem will likely recur.

Some research suggests that cleaning heating and cooling system components (e.g., cooling coils, fans and heat exchangers) may improve the efficiency of your system, resulting in a longer operating life, as well as some energy and maintenance cost savings.

How We Do It?

The entire system is put under negative pressure by using a three stage HEPA Filtration machine.  A rotating brush is directed through each individual duct run as well as the main trunk line.  This process breaks up dust and mold particles from the surface areas and is then captured by the three stage Hepa Filtration machine.  The supply plenum and return plenum are vacuumed with a HEPA vacuum and then the entire system is coated with a fiberlocking sealant that seals any fibers or particles in place and helps to prevent any future mold growth.

On top of cleaning the duct system, we also clean the cooling coils, blower assembly, heat exchangers, insulation liners, drain pan, or any other components in the Air Handler necessary for a full system cleaning.

If any of these steps are not performed than the dust, debris, and contamination will still be present and may continue to filter through your HVAC system continuing to cause poor air quality.

If anyone does any less, they are not doing enough!
